What is a Forum? |
Historically "Forum" stood for a reunion held in a
public square, in which citizens discussed about important issues.
Today technology has modified the place and mode of communication,
the square has been substituted with Internet, and electronic mail
has taken the place of words.
A Forum can thus be defined a comfortable "virtual sitting
room," thanks to which each navigator has the possibility to
freely communicate, expressing ideas and comparing opinions about
various topics.
|
What is the Logos Forum? |
The Logos Forum collects, in a "virtual bulletin
board," requests from all over the world, for translations that
are not in the dictionary, enabling the users to make suggestions
and translations of other navigator's requests.
|
Who can use the Forum? |
Professional Navigators |
|
| |
Clients |
Translators |
Moderators |
| |
Clients that access the new Forum to insert a
request in the virtual bill board will automatically
setoff a search of all the translators that have worked
for them. The translators, advised by email about the
client’s request, will provide an answer. |
Translators will find helpful advice for the
documents they are working on by posting requests which
will automatically be forwarded to all the internal ad
external Logos translators, thus creating a global
collaboration network.
|
Moderators will have specific habilitation to
correct, control and eventually eliminate requests of
dubious taste or suggestions that have been erroneously
entered.

"Virtual Bill Board" organization |
Organized in tables, the Virtual Bill Board can be consulted for
more than one request at a time, which can all be viewed
simultaneously. The request’s unique code, which appears in
the first column, has a link to the page where it is possible to
insert a translation suggestion. In this page the translator will
find more details to better focalize his type of suggestion. As soon
as the suggestion is inserted an email is sent off to whoever put in
the request, advising that a suggestion has arrived.
